Judges and audience will be rating contestants up to 20 points in 5 different catagories, for a possible total of 100 points. Contestants should consider the following when preparing for their performances. The judges will.
ABILITY
Pitch, range vocal technique, rhythm, song choice, originality, selling the song.
STAGE PRESENCE
Relevant movement, microphone technique, staying comfortable and in the moment, exciting and captivating.
APPEARANCE
Dressed appropriate for the song and performing live. Performer stands out from the audience.
RAPPORT WITH AUDIENCE
Working with the crowd, the right amount of talking and keeping the audience interested.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION
Audience support and approval of performer.
